This summer has been a busy one! We’ve had lots on our to do lists, been trying to get out as much as possible, and took our little buddy to the beach for the first time! It was so fun to take him to the water and see him explore in the sand (and eat it.) It was a refreshing change of scenery for us since we don’t adventure off to the beach often, we are usually roaming around the desert without much water in sight.
Between our beach trip, and camping trips and everything else we have going on, we’ve been stopping by some local Farmer’s Markets to sell our jewelry. What started out as a little hobby has actually turned into a fun little side business and selling in person and meeting people who come to these events has turned into one of my favorite things. It’s not our typical “adventure” but it’s turned into an adventure of it’s own. I’ve always been inspired by nature, and it’s been fun to create pieces close to my heart.
The name Moenkopi is a Hopi word meaning place of flowing water, in the desert these places are sacred and sought after. It’s no secret that we love the desert and all of the red rock in Southern Utah, so the name seemed to stick with us 🙂 We wanted our online community to be able to come together as one, and under one name as a central place for all things, travel, adventures, natural living, essential oils, etc. A place where everyone can come and find something to relate to. A place for everyone, just like flowing water in the desert.
Take a look around and see what’s new and what we’ve added and what we have been doing “in the between” 😉 We hope you still follow along and follow our adventures and everything else!
